Flu Clinic

Appointments are available to book via the NHS App or Patient Access.

The best time to have your flu vaccine is in the autumn or early winter before flu starts spreading. But you can get your vaccine later.

All Flu clinics this year will be held at the surgery in both the annex and main surgery building.

We are holding them in both buildings to allow social distancing to take place and ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Appointments MUST be booked in advance; we will NOT see any patient that just turns up on the day.
  • Patients are asked to turn up at the time of their appointment – (please do not come extra early or extra late as you may not get seen).
  • Please wear clothing so we can easily access your upper arm(s) when attending for your flu vaccination.
  • If you are eligible for a Pneumonia or Shingles Vaccination this will be given at the same time as your flu vaccination.
  • The flu clinics will be available to be booked online or over the flu mobile telephone, please ensure you book in to the correct clinic.

There are two clinic slot types    –   Over 65 years   and   Under 65 years

  • Please wear a face covering once you are inside the surgery buildings.
  • Where possible please come alone or with your family members if they are also due a flu vaccination.

DO NOT attend your appointment if you may have any COVID-19 symptoms

Who Should get the Flu Vaccination

Flu vaccination is safe and effective. It’s offered every year through the NHS to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

Further information – Children Nasal flu Vaccinations

Once we are able to order the child nasal flu vaccinations we will contact the parent / guardian to invite them to book an appointment.

The Nasal flu will be given to the eligible children at school if they are in the school years above, this will be given by the school nurse. The school should make you aware of when this will be. Please speak to the school if you are unable to make that appointment. If your child misses this at school we are unable to vaccinate your child at the surgery.

Shingles Vaccination
