This method creates a basic account that allows you to book&nbsp;only one appointment.&nbsp;Using this option requires you to visit The Surgery after registering and bring with you your identification.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1:&nbsp;<\/strong>Enter your postcode and&nbsp;click search<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2:&nbsp;<\/strong>Select your practice and click continue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3:&nbsp;<\/strong>Click no to having a registration letter and then click continue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4:&nbsp;<\/strong>Enter your personal details and click continue to complete the registration process<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Please note we look closely at all applications for access to make sure they are genuine<\/li><li>Access can also be withdrawn at any time if there are concerns about patient confidentiality.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Patient Access Video Tutorials<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please note some of these services may not yet be available at the Practice. Please check with reception.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/support.patientaccess.com\/video-tutorials\">Patient Access video tutorials<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-a76f4d9d uagb-heading-text\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\"><strong>11-15 years<\/strong><\/h2><div class=\"uagb-separator-wrap\"><div class=\"uagb-separator\"><\/div><\/div><p class=\"uagb-desc-text\">The Surgery does not offer online services to patients aged between 11-15yrs. NHS England recommend that practices adopt a very cautious approach to allowing parents to access their records. We have decided to adopt the most practical approach and withdraw parent&#8217;s access as soon as the child reaches 11 unless there are exceptional circumstances, each case will be assessed on an individual basis by the GP who will decide if the Proxy Access is authorised.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abuse of the Online System<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Abuse of the system includes, but is not exclusive to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Sending needless or abusive messages to the Practice<\/li><li>Repeatedly booking and cancelling appointments&nbsp;<\/li><li>Repeatedly booking appointments over a short period of time<\/li><li>Booking&nbsp;appointments and not attending them&nbsp;<\/li><li>Any offensive or abusive messages through the service&nbsp;<\/li><li>Requesting prescriptions that you do not need.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proxy access<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are the parent of any children under the age of 12 you will need to fill in a \u2018proxy\u2019 access form to view their details. You can also grant access to a carer if you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bishopswalthamsurgery.nhs.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/PatientOnline-ProxyAccessChildren-guidance.pdf\">Child Parent\/Guardian online access guidance<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bishopswalthamsurgery.nhs.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/PatientOnline-ProxyAccessChildren-guidance.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Patient must give their consent before Proxy Access can be granted; this can be done by filling a form out from reception and for both the patient and Proxy to provide ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Surgery may give formal Proxy Access to a representative of a patient who is not competent. Our clinical systems provider ensures that the information you provide when using the online services portal is protected. All communications with the web site are encrypted, using the same high security that major banks use for their internet transactions (128 bit SSL). Only you can see the personal information you enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using the most up-to-date version of your web browser also improves security of information.
